Multi-channel shoppers were more satisfied during 2013 holidays
A new study by Foresee conducted during the holiday shopping season of 2013 revealed something we all might have suspected, but it was very helpful to see: Shoppers use of multiple sales channels during a purchase (i.e. web and smartphone) are more satisfied with their purchase than those who just use one channel.
The implication for retailers? It pays to encourage your shoppers to jump between your different sales channel while they do their research. This can be done by advertising your mobile-friendly store on your website, in stores (if applicable), in email newsletters, and in social media.
It makes sense when you think about it. Shoppers who use more than one channel to purchase feel that they have done their research and are getting the product they want at the best price.
